Brothers and Candidates,
I wish to thank you for signing up for our Winter Ordeal. This should be a great event over all.
I would like to remind all Candidates (those not in the OA yet) that they should arrive in work clothes, bring full Class A, along with a tarp and sleeping bag. Don’t forget Sunscreen, water bottle/camelback, hat and work gloves. Please report to the Ramada Grande at 7pm with your Medical Form (Part A & B minimum).
Staff and Brotherhood members, please report at 6:30pm to Ramada Grande, with Medical Form (Part A & B minimum) in Full Class A uniform (we are the honor society of Boy Scout Campers). Please bring normal camping gear, minus cooking/eating items. This should include a tent etc. Don’t forget work clothes for Sat along with Sunscreen, water bottle/camelback, hat and work gloves. We have lots of projects planned and will need all the help we can to get them accomplished.
Our Vice Chief of Activities has planned lots of fun items for Sat night. Departure will be 9pm Saturday night.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Double V Scout Ranch for a fantastic weekend to induct new members, seal some members in the brotherhood, get lots of work done and have fun finishing it all out!
Yours in Brotherhood,
Papago 494 Lodge Adviser

Hurricane Sandy caused lots of damage all across the Northeast Region, and we, as Arrowmen, feel that we need to help. Your Regional Key 3 is calling upon individual Arrowmen, Lodges, and Sections to join us in our aggressive campaign to raise money that will be awarded to lodges to help their councils complete projects at their camps. We believe that the powerful combination of money and manpower from members of the Order of the Arrow can overcome any devastation that Sandy left behind. This money will be awarded in a process similar to the National Order of the Arrow Service Grants.
Our goal is to raise at least $20,000, and we strongly believe that we can do more if everyone helps in some way.
