Listen!
Can you hear the beat of the drums in the distance?
Well, the drums are saying that the September Cub Scout
Roundtable is going to be a Jungle Safari! We are going
to explore the wonders of Africa and learn why it was so
special to Scouting’s founder, Lord Baden Powell. We can
also find out how The Jungle Book connects to Scouting
and use the story and its characters to inspire den
meeting games, crafts and costumes for the pack meeting.
We can learn about the things we would need for a safari
and how to survive in the jungle. What fun! This would
also be a great time to tie in a trip to the zoo,
wildlife museum, animal rescue centers or the Desert
Museum. Hey but let’s not spoil the fun because you know
that we will have lot’s of great ideas for you at the
next Roundtable meeting. So don’t miss it because it is
you that make that making Scouting happen! See you
there!
