  Letter From the Council Commissioner

100yr Bob Reeves
Council Commissioner
As Council Commissioner it is my absolute pleasure to serve our Council.

One of the strengths of the Catalina Council (CC) that I have observed since joining scouting in Tucson nearly 12 years ago is the ever increasing strength of our Council. Committee participation is increasing, more and more volunteers are getting trained, the quality of unit programs is up and as a result youth retention is on the rise! In short we are all making a difference! The Commissioner staff is here to help units continue to increase the quality of their respective programs. Consider Unit Commissioner's to be your "Human Information /Resource Directory".

In part, this column is my introduction to you as your Council Commissioner, but it is also an acknowledgment of the tremendous accomplishments of my team. The current District Commissioner leadership is as follows:
  • Cochise - Steve Derr
  • Old Pueblo - Barbara Patterson-Pieper
  • Santa Cruz - Guy Bake
  • Spanish Trails - Craig Zimmerman

The primary role of all Commissioners is unit service. To help us better serve the units, Scouters and Scouts of the CC, we've made adjustments amongst some of the existing ACCs in order to keep us focused on some of our top priorities; specifically diversity and service to new units.

To all commissioners - at all levels - thank you for your service.
